José Cunha graduated in July 2000 from the Engineering Faculty in Porto with a licentiate degree in Civil Engineering. He attended the 19th M. Sc. Course of Structures of Civil Engineering.
He joined GEG in October 2000. Nowadays he is a project designer in Structures of Civil Engineering and project manager in the Building Engineering department.
As a project manager, he is responsible for the leadership of teams carrying out the work detailed in a certain project, the administration of resources such as people, equipment and supporting facilities, the management subcontracted services and the coordination at the stage of technical support. He is also responsible for assuring the link with the client and that the deadlines are achieved within budget and to the expected level of quality. In charge of keeping the team’s attention focused on achieving these goals.
His experience in the project-designing field has been mainly dedicated to the conception of foundations and structures in reinforced concrete, pre-stressed concrete and steel structures, participating in the design projects in all its different stages to the level of the conception, design, drawing and evaluation of the execution in the technical support stage.
