The Cutty Sark Conservation Project, by BuroHappold, won Structural Awards 2013 in the Structural Heritage category. The Cutty Sark Conservation Project has preserved the last remaining tea clipper and turned her into a new event venue.
In 2011, GEG was invited by BuroHappold to make an independent analysis of the dynamic response of the ship due to human induced vibration. GEG conducted this analysis in partnership with Prof. Rui Calçada, from the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (FEUP).
