Fafe Multipurpose Pavilion

ABOUT

Upon completion, in February 2004, this pavilion is one of the most important buildings of the city and can accommodate a wide range of activities, from sports events to concerts and fairs. Built in the major area of the town, near the City Council, Fafe multipurpose pavilion was part of the ongoing interventions defined in urban planning for this area. In addition to this project, it is also worth mentioning the Fafe Urban Park, a project also carried out by GEG for this area of the city.

The building was designed by the architect Carlos Prata. The roof is made by six plate girders, which suspend a lightweight sheet metal slab, supported by a grid of IPE240 with a metric of 2 m. The pavilion comprises two upper floors, developed on the periphery of the building, and a ground floor with sports area, showers and technical areas.
