The project for “Centro de Vida de Ile” comprise an urban intervention proposal for a 160,000 m² site in order to build a life centre with housing and multidisciplinary equipment to support the future facilities of The Navigator Company in Mozambique.
This life centre will be located on the National Road 231, which links Errego to Gurué in Ile, district of Zambézia province, Mozambique.
The project comprised the three main design phases of a project, namely the Conceptual design, the Preliminary design and the Detailed design and was developed based on three assumptions:
GEG was responsible for defining the solutions for the disciplines of earthworks, layout geometry and pavement; definition of solutions for water supply, stormwater drainage and fire suppression networks; definition of ventilation and cooling solutions, as well as the correct definition of the places where these materials should be installed, in order to satisfy the appropriate conditions of comfort and environmental health compatible with the foreseen occupation; definition of installation solutions for transformer substations and low voltage power distribution networks, including power cables, electric panels and public outdoor lighting; and definition of piping network solutions and manholes for communications networks within the telecommunications’ infrastructure of the enterprise.
