The construction of railway structures and infrastructures are one of the most demanding in terms of design.

These railway infrastructures require high levels of performance in order to ensure the quality and safety of transports. The railway designs, in their geometrical and kinematic perspective of material, platform design, dynamic impacts, structures, etc., therefore comprise a great demand.

Our railway engineering expertise is also focused on dynamics, which stands out at high speed, passing through industrial, port, metro and electric transport.

GEG accumulates in every project the specific know-how of each discipline and also a multidisciplinary experience in different sectors, regarding the relevance about the passenger comfort and the maximum safety in the stabilization of slopes and platforms, through underground stations, tunnels, bridges, viaducts, or to the surface.

This is also one of GEG’s areas of excellence regarding the innovation, research and development. Through its partnership with the University of Porto, GEG has been supporting the accomplishment of Masters and PhD’s, in coordination with the projects we develop.
